After we arrived in Munich after a long plane ride, we hopped on the bus to the concentration camp. We were there for about three hours, discovering what some people had to go through. Next we headed to the city and looked at the shops and buildings, getting to know the culture. We rapped up in the city by eating dinner and then loaded on the bus to go to our hotel. We arrived at the hotel, go settled, and headed to bed. – Peyton

After we got off a long plane before ride from Boston to Dūsseldorf we then took a hour plane ride from Dūsseldorf to Munich. We picked up all of are luggage and met are tour guide. The Schwarzenegger group had a tour guide named  Silas. After we met are tour guide and grabbed all of are luggage we took a 1 hour bus ride with our tour guid to head to a concentration camp. At the concentration camp we learned a lot of history about Austria and what people had to deal with during this time. We learned how people slept, how some didn’t eat and how they washed there clothes and everything. It was a very historical moment learning about everything that happened at a concentration camp.  Afternoon/Dinner- Heading downtown Munich after a long history of the concentration camp.  We discovered downtown adventures seeing many things we don’t see in the United States. We ended up leaving our tour guide and going on are own through the city. We discovered a church and a clock tower that had moving objects. It was very interesting because I have never heard bells ring with objects moving around it. After dinner we took a bus ride to are hotel and then got every thing situated and went to sleep.

Day 1 in the books, tomorrow we work on getting a bucket! Arrived in Boston to meet up with 16U teammates and other teams traveling with us, got on a big airplane with little room. And arrived in Germany after most had been up for over 20hrs without sleep. Yet that was just the beginning, had to jump on another flight from Dusseldorf to Munich Germany where we picked up luggage, exchanged money, got a snack, met our tour guide Silas and hopped on tour bus which was a wee bit on the warm side, hopefully not done on purpose as our first stop was a tour of the concentration camp.  There we were able to go out and experience and learn what it was like for prisoners way back when. Our day didn’t let up or stop there. After a few hrs we got back on a much cooler bus and Headed to Marienplatz Which is the center city of Munich. Here we got to check the town out, shop, experience all architectural buildings that are so different then what we are accustomed to in the states, and finish with a group dinner which was pretty good on the chicken scale. After dinner we all threw our towels in and finally got to head to hotel! Looking forward to tomorrow, yet getting into the gym is priority!
