LaBree Twins Named 2019 SaWUSA Co-Athletes of the Year

A huge congratulations to Hannah and Heather LaBree on being named 2019 SaWUSA Co Student-Athletes of the Year!

Hannah and Heather are rising Seniors at Carter County High School in Ekalaka, Montana. They competed on SaWUSA’s U19 Women’s Basketball team that took home the Silver Medal at the United World Games in Austria this summer.

They both are dual sport academic all-state athletes. They credit growing up on a ranch in a small hard working town of just 332 people as being an important part of their personality.

Additionally, both athletes are highly involved in numerous extracurricular activities, leadership conventions, workshops, FFA, etc.

About the SaWUSA STUDENTathlete of the Year Award

This traveler demonstrates athletic success in International competition. But that’s just part of the story. This traveler also appreciates the culture and diversity of the different places we visit. They display awesome patriotism and interact positively with our new International friends and make a strong positive impression about America! They demonstrate leadership throughout the trip with their teammates and coaches.

  • 2016 – Haylee Keating, Apeldoorn, Softball
  • 2017 – Michael Walker, Barbados Men’s Basketball Stars
  • 2018 – Tre’von Williams, United World Games Men’s Basketball U19 East
  • 2019 – Hannah & Heather LaBree, United World Games Women’s Basketball U19
