Our #SaWUSA Softball team met yesterday in New York (well most of them anyway). The boarded an overnight flight to Amsterdam and arrived early this morning. Although tired from the long trip, it was right to the action to avoid jetlag.
They were able to get accustomed to their new surroundings, change, some money, and meet Nicole (their Austrian delegation manager)
The girls got to explore the city, visit some cheese shops, and take in the sights.
The special activity for the day was a bike tour of the city. They got to explore the city like the locals do!
Did you know? – There are more than 881,000 bicycles in Amsterdam. That’s four times the number of cars.
After the tour the group checked into their hotel and is now sitting down to their first dinner together. The report I just got from Nicole is that everyone had a great time – and is VERY tired. So, it’s off to bed soon and a jam packed day tomorrow awaits!
